Raised on a farm with two younger brothers who struggled with behavioural challenges, Jasmine saw firsthand how stressful parenting can be… which inspired her to create Mummy’s Lil Helper. With over 12 years of experience caring for children from newborns to teens, she is passionate about creating calm, supportive, and joyful environments for every family.
Hey there, I’m Jasmine!
I started Mummy’s Lil Helper because I love working with kids, and I saw how hard it can be for parents to find someone they really trust.
I’ve been caring for children for over 10 years now. It started with babysitting for friends and family, then grew into something I couldn’t imagine not doing.
What I love most is watching kids feel safe and happy. Whether that’s a toddler who’s finally comfortable enough to play, or a school-aged kid with ADHD who’s found a routine that actually works for them. Those moments matter.
I’m based in Gisborne, and I’ve built a team of carers who share the same approach. Calm, patient, reliable. People who show up and genuinely care about the families they work with.
We’re not a big corporate service. We’re local, we know the area, and we take the time to match the right carer with the right family. That’s how it should be.

Every single carer on my team holds a Working With Children Check, Police Check, and First Aid certification. We’re fully insured. These aren’t just boxes to tick, they’re the baseline for doing this work properly.
Experience with neurodivergent kids
I’ve worked with children who have ADHD, autism, sensory needs, and learning disabilities for years. It’s taught me that patience, consistency, and understanding routines make all the difference. Our carers get that too.
We’re part of the community
We live here. We know the schools, the parks, the rhythm of life in Gisborne and the Macedon Ranges. When you work with us, you’re working with people who actually care about this place.
