Our sitters have grown up around animals and understand that every pet has its own routine, personality, and needs. We provide calm, attentive care in your home so your animals stay comfortable and well looked after while you’re away.
We’re experienced caring for a wide range of animals, including:
- Farm animals such as horses and chickens, including feeding, basic care, and daily checks
- House pets including dogs and cats, with support for feeding, walks, playtime, and companionship
- Reptiles such as lizards and snakes, following specific care instructions and routines
If you have animals with particular requirements or a mix of different pets, we’re always happy to talk through what’s needed to make sure they’re cared for properly.
Frequently asked questions
During a 15-minute visit, your pet will receive fresh water and a feed top-up, a quick health check, litter or yard attention if needed, and a photo update on request. This type of visit is best suited for daily check-ins while you’re away.
Overnight stays include in-home supervision, evening and morning care routines, feeding, water, settling, and a basic home presence, such as lights and bins. This is ideal for longer trips or pets who do better with company. Please note this is not 24/7 care, as our sitters have their own work and errands, but we promise to be home as much as possible and guarantee overnight presence.
We do not offer regular weekly dog walking. Dog walking is only available as an additional add-on during a 15-minute visit.
Our pet sitting services are best suited for families going away for a weekend or holiday. We do not provide regular weekly or daily care while you are at work, which is also why we also do not charge an hourly rate.
We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for public holidays, long weekends, and school holidays, as these periods book out very quickly!
Yes, a free 20 minute meet and greet is included in all bookings. This gives us time to learn your pet’s routine, get to know them, pick up keys, and answer any questions you may have before the first visit.
Payment is made directly to your pet sitter, preferably in cash or via bank transfer. Mummy’s Lil Helper organises the bookings, but all communication, scheduling, and payment is handled directly with your sitter.
We promise to care for your pets as if they were our own, taking every precaution to ensure their safety and comfort. While we provide the best possible care, Mummy’s Lil Helper is not liable for illness, injury, loss, or damage that may occur during or after the booking.
